Run photography across the whole property
Resort and cruise photography software runs the roaming photographers and the fixed capture points across a property, and delivers each guest’s photos to their own phone. Curator Live does that from one iPad app.
A guest is with you for four days, not four hours, and they are moving. Photos have to find them across the whole stay, on a connection that comes and goes.

Countries those events took place in
Operating since December 2015
Online chat staffed around the clock
Photographers and kiosks on one platform
The gangway, the pool deck, the formal night and the self-serve station are one operation. They should not be four systems.
Photography Mode
Up to six photographer experiences in one event, each with its own landscape and portrait overlay and watermark. Shots land in the app for selection, sharing and printing while the guest is still standing there.
Roaming the property
A photographer walks with a camera and an iPhone on a bracket. Curator publishes the tested kit down to the bracket, the flash mount and the cables, so a new shooter is set up the same way as the last one.
Cameras by name
Capture is tethered over USB across around 130 camera models: Canon EOS, Nikon, Sony and Olympus / OM System, on iOS 16 or newer. GoPro bodies connect wirelessly for the angles a photographer cannot stand in.
The connection will go. The operation does not.
This is the question every property asks first, and it deserves a specific answer rather than a reassuring one.
Capture keeps queueing
Photos and their details save to a queue on the device and send themselves the moment a connection returns. No member of staff has to remember to do anything.
Printing does not need the network
Direct USB printing runs an iPad straight into a DNP or Citizen dye-sublimation printer over one cable. Background removal, AR backgrounds and green screen all process on the device as well.
Device to device over local Wi-Fi
Live Connect moves media between devices on a local network with no internet at all, which is what puts a sharing station or a slideshow on a screen mid-ocean.
Print here, deliver over cellular
In port, iOS can be configured so the print network handles printing while cellular handles uploads, texts and the live gallery at the same time.
One operational note worth training into a crew: while a queue of photos is sending, leave the app open. Closing it or switching events before the queue clears discards what is still in it.
Monday’s photo and Thursday’s photo, in one place
Photo Match lets a guest pull their own pictures out of the gallery, so somebody photographed at the gangway on arrival and at the formal dinner on night three finds both without scrolling past strangers. The guest asks for their own photos, and reaches a gallery with nothing in it but their own.
An RFID wristband or tag can be scanned instead of typing anything, which is how a wet hand at a pool deck ends up with a photo. Guests who scan before an upload has finished land on a Notify Me page and are texted or emailed the moment it is ready.
Media stays live for 365 days from the last capture, so a guest who gets home and remembers the gallery a fortnight later still finds it.
Sell the gallery, not just deliver it
Photography on a property is a revenue line. Turn sales on for an event and guests buy their own photos from the gallery, with the money arriving in a Stripe account you connect and own.
Pay at the capture point
A kiosk can take the payment before it takes the picture. That is how a self-serve station on a pool deck or at a gangway sells at ten in the morning with nobody rostered to it.
Or pay once they have seen it
Shoot first, show the guest a watermarked preview, and take the payment to lift it. On formal night that is the difference between a photographer selling a photo and selling the idea of one.
A gallery that keeps growing
Live Photo Collections add photos taken later in the stay to a gallery the guest has already bought, at no extra charge. Switch it off and Thursday is a separate purchase from Monday.
Pricing an all-photos price, a per-photo price, or both, each switched on separately.
Currency chosen per event, which matters on an itinerary that changes region mid-week.
Collections built automatically by a rule you choose, including Photo Match, so a guest buys their own four days rather than the whole ship.
Confirmation the wording a guest sees after paying is yours, not ours.
Nothing has to say Curator
A guest photographed on your property should receive something from your property.
Your domain
Delivery links come from a domain of yours rather than ours, and delivery emails send from your own address with the DNS records that keep them out of a spam folder.
Your gallery
The page a guest lands on carries your banner, your colours, your link and your call to action, and the wording of the text and email they receive is yours to rewrite.
Your property structure
Account-level venue settings hold the defaults for each property, and eleven user roles let a photo manager, a shooter and an outside contractor each see what they should.
Someone is awake in whatever time zone you are in
Online chat is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which matters when your operation runs on ship time and your head office does not. Chat stays open while your event runs.
When it cannot wait for a chat reply, there is a number for emergencies during a live event: +1 (800) 708-0247.
Common questions
What is resort and cruise photography software?
Resort and cruise photography software runs the roaming photographers and the fixed capture points across a property, and delivers each guest’s photos to their own phone. Curator Live does that from one iPad app, and has been operating since December 2015 across 96 countries.
Can we keep printing when the ship has no connection?
Yes. Direct USB printing runs an iPad straight into a DNP or Citizen dye-sublimation printer over one cable, so printing does not depend on the network. Background removal, AR backgrounds and green screen all process on the device as well. While a queue of photos is sending, leave the app open: closing it or switching events before the queue clears discards what is still in it.
How does a guest get photos taken on different days of the same trip?
Photo Match lets a guest pull their own pictures out of the gallery, so somebody photographed at the gangway on arrival and at dinner on night three finds both without scrolling past strangers. Media stays live for 365 days from the last capture, so they can come back to the gallery after they get home.
Which cameras can our photographers use?
Capture is tethered over USB across around 130 camera models (Canon EOS, Nikon, Sony and Olympus / OM System) on iOS 16 or newer. GoPro bodies connect wirelessly for extra angles, and a roaming photographer works from a camera and an iPhone on a bracket, with the tested kit published down to the bracket and the cables.
Can several photographers work the same event?
Yes. One event carries up to six photographer experiences, each with its own landscape and portrait overlay and watermark. Shots land in the app for selection, sharing and printing while the guest is still there.
Can a guest scan a wristband instead of typing an email address?
Yes. An RFID wristband or tag can be scanned to route a guest’s media to them, which is set up with your RFID provider. Guests who scan before an upload has finished land on a Notify Me page and are texted or emailed the moment the photo is ready.
Can the photos come from our own domain rather than yours?
Yes. Delivery links come from a domain of yours rather than ours, delivery emails send from your own address with the DNS records that keep them out of a spam folder, and the gallery a guest lands on carries your banner, colours, link and call to action.
What happens if the internet goes down mid-event?
The event keeps running. Photos capture to a local queue, printing continues, and the booth behaves exactly as it does online. Text and email delivery pause and send automatically once the connection returns.
How many devices does one licence cover?
One licence covers one device.
Can we charge guests for their photos?
Yes. Sales are turned on per event and guests buy their own photos from the gallery. You can set an all-photos price, a per-photo price, or both, and the currency is chosen per event. Guests can pay at a kiosk before the session, or pay afterwards to lift the sales watermark from a photo they have already seen. The money runs through a Stripe account you connect and own.
If a guest buys on day one, do they pay again on day three?
That is your choice. With Live Photo Collections on, photos taken later in the stay are added to the gallery the guest has already bought at no extra charge. With it off, each new set is a separate purchase. Collections are built automatically by a rule you choose, including Photo Match, so a guest buys their own photos rather than the whole property’s.
